I was talking to a high end hi-fi dealer when reading your post,so I mentioned your query,he does'nt rate the Sondek(have heard the same from other dealers)Apparantly the Sondek gives a slightly false sound by being factory set up to run a little fast,this again is what I've heard from other dealers.Obviously the Sondek is a decent deck,but it appears its not as accurate as it could be.
He rates your Thorens.
