My DP59L sits about 3 feet above a 15" Velodyne subwoofer, and I never had vibration problems. I NEVER hear footfalls from my DP59L.That said, I did buy a Gingko Audio Cloud 11 Isolation platform for my DP59L, since I believe eliminating vibration as completely as possible is a good pursuit for vinyl. But I used it for 2+ years without this with no problems. I think the DP59L's plinth is competitively quiet with modern turntables selling for under $1,000 (although the 59L is starting to creep up to the over $1,000 category)...
