my cheapie JVC JL-A20. Beats the P3 with any other cart I've owned. The best adjustments of the Black for my taste are:
1. If overhang can't be set perfectly at 2 null points, then it should be set for a perfect tangent on the innermost grooves and as close as possible on the outers.
2. The VTA should be adjusted for tail-end slightly down.
3. Now what I've found very important for tracking is to get the azimuth spot on. If it's slightly off the tracking ability goes right downhill. Maybe that's why so many people complain about the Grados tracking poorly. (However, I'm not saying it's a great tracker)
4. On my table even the mat made a difference. The none-felt was best. To me it makes sense that the mat would make a difference to tracking, even if only from an intuitive perspective, IOW non-science.It's actually downright scary how good this cart can sound!
