Cartridge Budget Question

After reading the thread below I guess it's time for a new cartridge. I know that there are oodles of threads here that can help me decide on which cartridge. My questions concerns how much to allocate for one.
My TT is an MMF-7, my phono pre is a Bottlehead Seduction. I am in the process of building a Bottlehead line pre and SETs. What price point for a cartridge would be overkill for this system?
