Gyro/Orbe and blutack

A couple of weeks ago I posted that I blutacked the inner spring covers of my Orbe.

The resultant sound was still dynamic but dullish,so I left them off, which livened up the sound considerably.

However on looking at the inner top of the covers,I noticed an indentation in the blutack where the suspention was fouling the top of the cover.

I have now removed the blutack from the top(only) of the three covers and fitted them back on the t/t.

This has improved the treble considerably, while still leaving the covers damped.

Still not sure at this stage whether I prefer the covers off or with the b/t removed from the top,so more listening is necessary.
