I'm getting paranoid about the Haydon motor in my AR, since I haven't found an affordable turntable that comes close sonically. Just wondering - what can I do to keep the motor alive for as long as possible?Another thing - here in Sweden the mains voltage has always been 220V, 50Hz. However, since we became members of the European Union, the voltage has been raised to 230V. Funny thing is, few people know about this. Although the peak value of the voltage varies between 210V to over 240V (harmful in some cases), I just wonder how this higher voltage can affect my turntable motor? Since it's designed for 220V, should I add a resistor in series with the motor?
Thanks in advance,
/Peter
