Please consider the following before beating me up too much about the price increase for the VTAF.

The price increase is related to a decision to allow retailers to sell the VTAF. Having made that decision, completely unrelated to the article in TAS, it was necessary to increase the price to allow the retailer a fair markup on the product. The retailer needs the markup, otherwise no point in retailing. While I continue to sell the VTAF directly, there would be be no retailers if I sold below their prices.

I too am a DIY audiophile, in love the audio hobby since 1957. Cost has always been a consideration to me because there has never been that much available to spend on the hobby. That said, even at the new price, the VTAF remains one of the great buys for vinyl lovers.

And remember this . . . no one will ever become wealthy selling the VTAF. I haven't broken even yet.
