CSN & CSNY origianl LP's sound fantastic! Luckily, my mom was a CSNY freak in her college days and I inherited a nice stack of their stuff. From After the Gold Rush to Crosby, Stills & Nash, to 4 Way Street, they all have a very rich, mellow sound. Even on my low-fi Technics TT w/ some nice Polk RT25i speakers you can see the parabolic waves of guitar strings absorb gently into your room. When I listen to the LP's side by side w/ the CD's (granted, I have 1st generation CD's of some of their stuff), the LP's sound infinitely better. The CD's sound cold and compressed compared to their elder, vinyl cousins. I have never bothered to purchase the remastered versions on CD because they already sound beautiful on wax.
