I can recommend the VPI 16.5, it does a great job. I guess I'm in the minority, as I prefer the Disk Doctor fluid over Record Research. True, the DD fluid does require thorough rinsing but I feel it does a better job. I've not noticed any sonic signature but I always rinse at least three cycles.
