Agreed

I too was dismissive of US cleaners - I just could not fathom how they could do a better job than my VPI 16.5.

When the Kirmuss came along at a more reasonable price than all the other then current US cleaners, I took the plunge. It was exactly as you said ... a revelation! Washing and vac'ing just doesn't cut it, and I sold my VPI virtually on the spot.

Last summer I came very close to buying a Degritter. Very close, but opted to double down on the Kirmuss and save the money. Nothing against the Kirmuss as it does an outstanding job. It's just that the nature of the Kirmuss design is more suited to doing batches of records more or less at the same time. It isn't optimized for onesie-twosie cleaning like the Degritter. I've made some adjustments and additions to the Kirmuss to make it more onesie-twosie friendly, and for the most part the changes have really helped in that respect, but still not as convenient as the Degritter.

The difference between US cleaned and just washed and vac'd is not subtle.

Congratulations on your purchase! I did I'm sure the same kind of research and reading you did, and the Degritter would have been my choice if not having been in a savings mode.
