I spun the tonearm rod and the main bearing rod while using 4 different grades of sandpaper and three levels of metal polish. The final look was very glossy, and I don't have to give the platter a little nudge on start up. I also installed a new delrin thrust plate; lubricated with Zoom Spout 10W mineral oil; and filled the top of the pulley with moulding clay. The current speed is 33.20, so it's time for a new belt.
