New headshells are reasonable, so I would save this headshell for Ortofon, and

buy another wired headshell for non-Ortofons. Thanks for the thought.

Actually, I sold the SL-1300, so the next person will decide what to do. The hardest thing to accomplish on the 1300 was restoring the heavily scratched dust cover. It was my first attempt, and it was a great learning experience.
