OK that's a novel way of seeing some fluctuations but without a way of quantifying these it is not really possible to say how serious they are. I refer to Anthony's post on this which has ( as usual) some excellent advice.
I was concerned that using an outboard motor with a suspended turntable would cause exaggerated wow particularly when playing even marginally off centre discs. However this fundamental issue is mainly of concern where the suspension is allowed some degree of lateral movement. However the very clever Avid system of suspension avoids this.
So, to your proposed motor. No, I think this would not prove suitable. Unlike most turntables with truly free standing motors the Avid does not drive the platter from its edge. Rather it is driven from a drive hub placed within the platter. So the motor although not attached to the chassis has to fit in height and width within the same placement position as the original motor . The Chinese motor looks unlikely to do this. Secondly the motor pulley is designed for a flat section belt whereas the Avid uses a round section one. So you would need to get someone to machine a replacement pulley. The chances of getting a flat belt with the requisite manufacturing accuracy of one required for this duty and of the correct size is remote ( to avoid further wow not only is the belt required to have the correct circumference it has to be truly flat in section which in practice is normally achieved by machining the belt viz. Linn, adding to cost).
There are other issues arising from the description on ebay which require an answer. An AC synchronous motor but with a DC power supply? Presumably there is some kind of AC waveform synthesized within the motor housing but there is no mention of this per se. Further although the power input requirement is specified these seems to be no facility for the purchaser to specify their mains voltage. Is it left to the purchaser to provide the 1.2V 2A supply?
However as Avid is not exactly an obscure turntable brand , why are you not talking to them and , if necessary, buying a replacement motor from them which will obviously meet all of your requirements ?
Best wishes
Pete
