It is also necessary to establish that the particular recording being played has been made with a pitch of A = 440Hz. This should not be taken for granted. A meaning A above middle C of course. Even if the musicians tuned to A=440Hz that does not necessarily mean that the recording as issued adheres to that ( I am thinking , for example, of one famous 60's British group all of whose records were speeded up slightly in comparison with the original master tape). Of course orchestral tuning can also vary according to both the band and era of music.
If the music has not been made using that pitch convention then the same % change in speed of the turntable will result in something other than 432Hz.
