RE: Turntable belt help. Where to find one? Here's the specifics..

This is a more complex question than you think, It is not just a question of size but compliance.

A belt has to be stiff enough to transmit the pulley speed of rotation to the platter without variation but compliant enough so that motor noise is not transmitted simultaneously. Believe me when I say that the wrong choice of belt material (both polymer type and its cure) can change the sound of a turntable from great to average and/or introduce unacceptable levels of wow and flutter.

Circular section belts of the size encountered with turntables are usually referred technically to as "O" rings (belts being flat profile) so you need to search for these outside of the audio supplier world.

Also don't mix up dimensions as this won't help your search. If the cross section is in millimetres then the diameter won't be expressed in imperial units.

Finally when changing belt sizes you will need a motor control unit that allows for trimming the speed (I do not know whether the Avid model you have allows this).
