I have been using Audioquest brushes , original and new style , for so many years I have forgotten. However I have had no problems with shedding fibres. That is, however, a known problem with others such as the original Decca carbon fibre brush which I recall as the first such on the market (at least here in the UK).
I have three AQ brushes in regular use.Two old style (fair cleaning, poor static dispersion) and one new ( good static dispersion, not so good cleaning). No fibre shedding though.
Audioquest suffers from there being a lot of fakes on the market. I wonder if you have a pukka AQ brush?
