I don't often make a "listening" posts, but I want to recommend Charley and this album. Well recorded, simple Americana. Foot-tapping, joyful sometimes, sometimes pensive. Great voice. I have most of his records. Jump in anyplace. See him live if you can.
Put this on after listening to the new BN Tone Poet series Andrew Hill Passing Ships. Good complex listen, maybe not the best mixed BN recording with the number of players. Crockett was a palate cleanser.
