Impressed with Ultrasonic!

Found a relatively inexpensive deal on Amazon for a complete ultrasonic cleaning setupm so ordered one - and it quickly sold out though.

Wow, after ultrasonic cleaning I have played about 6 LPs and the stylus is still completely pristine. Not a drop of grunge, dust, etc. on the stylus after playing any of the LPs! That is unheard of (pun intended) in my experience.

The LPs are already pretty clean, haven't tried a very dirty record yet.

I do a quick wet spray and wipe with microfiber cloth before the ultrasonic.

The unit was a good deal, Arrived well packaged. The LP rotation mechanism is quite sturdy, all metal. A little crude in a couple areas - for example the structure of the metal mount to slide the LP rotator mechanism and LP mount up and down is high friction, and I need to use an old CD cardboard folder to support it in the up position.

I clean 4 LPs at a time, not heating the bathwater, using Isonic concentrate added to distilled water from Walgreens.

But other than that, this thing seems a great deal at $260. It is a 40khz unit. I have read that 80khz or greater cleans better due to smaller bubbles, I can always try a different tank at some point. The LP mount and rotator are generic and can fit on any typical tank.
