Can't disagree about the impedance guesswork. Only way to know is to measure. Having said that it would not be the first time an actual measurement did not match a manufacturer spec.

Ahh yes, windoz. There are so many different machines with so many different configs, with so many different hardware devices and software installs, I would not attempt to correlate one with another when it comes to BSODs and most other windoz issues, especially driver issues.

For example, I am running an Mboard that is overdriving both the CPU and memory. Who knows what that could do to any particular driver? Korg's don't work for my machine, I have found that out though.

If I do decide to go with a different ADC device, it won't be one that requires windoz drivers. Too much possibility of problems. An RME pro unit is looking very attractive.
