yes that is an option. I have a musical fidelity X10 v3 tube buffer. I have used it recently in the main system and it works fine, that would be an interesting thing to try if the HF response seems off.

If it is off due to mismatched impedance, I can't tell without some other reference.

Hey that is an idea. I should find an LP that is available for streaming on Amazon or QOBUZ and compare my digitized LPs with the streaming versions!
