Well I value your opinion so that's encouraging. So many folks here tout the advantages of discrete componentry, I would think it would be a decent phono stage and better than a cheap op amp stage...

I have to get my ass in gear and do the rebuild. On hand I have a complete kit for replacing all the RCA sockets and all the transistors including phono stages.

And somewhere I have a cap replacement kit, just have to find it.
