Different speakers and amps especially are suited for different music types. For example classical enthusiasts discovered that SOME Cerwin-Vega model are great for large-scale classical works. Where smaller sealed bookshelf designs are better for the chamber or Baroque types.
Of course good speakers/amps will be good with many types of music, but to fine tune it a bit one needs to investigate things a little bit. Or a lot.
