Nevertheless I think it is a clever device which will suit a lot of people. Probably not for very high end folk and certainly not for those committed to analogue purity at any cost.
It has a few criticisms aimed against it, at least that I can find online. They are that its overload characteristics could be better, that there is a premature roll off of RIAA EQ ~ 20Hz, that the "Tube" fx replicates a poorly designed tube phonostage rather than just adding "tubeiness" (however that is conceived) and that a better ADC/DAC chip set could have been chosen. Otherwise it has received positive reports and one must bear in mind what seems to me to be a very reasonable price.
There is a slightly more expensive version with S/Pdif output.
