I agree. Also there are practical manufacturing tolerances to take account of. I remember Michael Fremer mentioning that cantilever/stylus manufacturers are unable to guarantee alignment of the stylus better than plus or minus two degrees. So that alone would require a reset of SRA especially with fine line styli. No doubt there may be other examples.
