Like you, I am a Shure fan. Still have a type iii with original HE stylus, V15V Pro S, two M91s and a few more. I have Pfansteil elliptical and 78 stylii for the 91s as well as an EVG. The Pfansteil elliptical sounds very sibilant and I do not use it. The 78 is quite good and the EVG is OK, but not as good as my original ED stylus for the 91. I would love to find a modern stylus that is close, but the SAS stuff is just waaayyyy too bright for me.
My understanding is that cultured diamond is harder than natural diamond - science experts please correct me if I am just parroting fake news here. So I think that I will give that a try. The fact that the stylus is nude mounted is enough to make me take the plunge without any other considerations.
