Same here. Ironically, or sensibly, most headshells are constructed so as to achieve a broad and firm contact with the top surface of the cartridge. As if that were a good design idea. And for MC cartridges which have low compliance and therefore deliver energy into the head shell, wouldn't that be a good idea?Assuming one would want to drain away that resonant energy from the cartridge body.
