Yes, the record and the platter stop rotating once the vacuum tube touches the record.
But the record will rotate if the vacuum tube is up.
Nothing has changed. The vacuum tube height is fine and the spindle adapter is tightened as I usually do.
The day before there wasn't any problems. That's why I thought maybe it's the heat and low humidity causing a static charge?
