I first read about Magic Eraser on Audiogon Analog Forum. It was highly touted by its adherents. For a few years, I was resistant to the idea, for fear of snagging the stylus tip in the ME fibers, pretty much what PL is afraid of. When I finally tried it, I was and have always been ultra careful not to pull or push the ME pad while the stylus sits on it. In fact, I usually use only the cuing device to go up and down on a stationary piece of ME. In so doing, I have not had a problem, but maybe I should go back an examine (with a microscope) some styli that have been frequently treated with ME, to look for fibers.
