Why I like to buy LPs when I'm in Tokyo. At Disk Union stores, if a used LP is rated "A" for condition it will look perfect and play perfectly, and you need not even inspect it before purchase. The album jacket might be slightly weathered but most often is also perfect. "B"'rated LPs are usually also play flawlessly. Unfortunately prices in Tokyo have risen in recent years due to the vinyl resurgence.NM should be the equivalent of an A rating.
