Yes is happens. This is one reason I almost never buy sealed LP's unless they are new and the store has a return policy. I actually do not even leave the store. I will open after paying for a good inspection and if there is a problem I will not need to return. This only happened once and it was earlier this year with my ELO Secret Messages reissue. It was so warped that even the store owner was disgusted. The replacement we opened was flat.
