The Switzerland and Japan replacements are excellent in general. Buy from a reputable distributor as in "needle Daddy" on eBay. Have been a regular buyer from him for years and he actually used the Empire 2000 himself and stands behind any purchases you make. In 6 years I have had to return only 1 that was defective after only a few hours(tip tell off) and he responded by sending me 2(!) in return.
