All of the 70's albums have great songs, production and engineering. I'm a little less fond of the more processed albums he did with Rob Mounsey, but the songs are still great.
I use the title cut of Burchfield Nines as a test track-if your rig can handle Oscar Brashear's trumpet without IGD/breakup, you know it's right.
His last 2 albums have not been released on LP, but they are both oustanding, particularly Time Together.
