Yes the wall wart is the power supply/transformer. I have no idea about how it compares to the Lounge. I know Mikey Fremer thinks highly of the Bellari and you should be able to find his assesment of it. I use mine in my bedroom system and listen to headphones only. Using the Grado 125 plugged directly into the Bellari I am more that happy. An easy way to change the sound is to change the tube. Easy if you happen to have a stock as I do, but maybe a little costly if you do not. After trying most common old tubes incl Teles, Mullards, Amperex, RCA, GE, Sylvania, and a few others, I have settled on the Raytheon for now anyway.
