there was fog out over the water; a breeze was blowing; people were wearing coats; the beach was composed of mid-sized pebbles; and some movie company was filming a scene with a guy seated on the boardwalk with a seagull perched on his head.
I was staying at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel. I ordered a Caesar salad in the restaurant, and I spent a couple minutes digging through large triangles of parmesan cheese, through another layer of shredded parmesan cheese, and finally into a few pieces of lettuce. Yummy, if you are into dry cheese.
There was a nude beach though near the hotel. I didn't get close, but I can imagine what stood up from the twin peaks in that cold.
