...if you were interested in improving this little guy. The Rega is powered by 24VAC from a tiny wall-wart. I recently replaced a "wart" with an humongous 80-watt capacity AC transformer on my little Schiit headphone amp (16VAC) and found the sound substantially improved. The difference is on a par with using really good cables versus my old basic DIY Mogami jobs, i.e - its subtle but there is a deeper, more stable soundstage and big orchestral stuff sounds just a bit richer, more complete. I found the trans from an industrial supplier on that auction website and it set me back only about $30 bucks. There are some interesting articles on why this works on the interwebbs, including a discussion from PS audio relating to a phono preamp. PS have focused on power supply in great depth:
