RE: Matching low output moving coil cartridge to SUT

I was wondering if 2-6 ohms is the output range recommended so there is enough current to sufficiently overcome the leakage inductance (on the upper end), without saturating the core (on the lower end) ie puts everything right in the sweet spot for the transformer.
