In my thinning-the-herd activity I jettisoned all FM after "Bare Trees." The Buckingham-Nicks years seem to me to represent a load of pop Bear-poop, all grossly overproduced as you note. I actually considered going back as far as "Kiln House." The band was much better when the wrestling with issues of drug abuse and mental instability in the early 70's- it was a more poetic, ethereal kind of abuse/instability than the later years afforded.
