I believe that your Kenwood would perform well with the Sumiko- going by the numbers. It's a lower complince (15CU) unit and the 3.5mV output should be fine with your vintage Yamaha. I believe the Kenwood has the capability to realize the performance from a better cartridge, if the spirit moved you and the budget allowed.
