Start at the headshell coupler. One friend actually started at the cartridge body. Wrap tightly with just enough overlap to not have any arm showing through. Work back to the counterweight and go as far as you feel like. I have known people to wrap the weight as well.
A cheap, easy, and full reversable tweak if you don't like it.
