The Blues Project - Spinnin' and gluing

I loved this band for their one, real studio album "Projections" that was a minor splash in 1966 (maybe only on the US east coast...). The subsequent albums are weak.

The album titled "The Blues Project" [Elektra EKL-264, 1964] is not credited to the band but to "Various Artists" - who included a bunch of Greenwich Village cats orbiting around Danny Kalb. It's quite a fine album!

Al Kooper was a drop-in who was hanging around the back doors of the NYC music biz at the time and went on to make the landmark "Super Session" and "Kooper Session" albums- perma-favorites at the Bearcave! - and rocked the world with the Stones and Jimmy Miller on 'You Can't Always Get What You Want.'

The clamps and scales were just removed from gluing the split jackets together. The vinyl's good, so as the song sez: "The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean."
