How is Acton?

Hall built in the 30's, sound renovated by Szell in late 50's, upgraded again about the time of pic; sadly, the last time I was there for a concert was in 2000 (Dohnanyi conducted, Schumann Symphony #2, then Brahms piano concerto #2, pianist Maurizio Pollini!).

The same forces opened that year's visiting annual residence series at NY's Carnegie Hall. The review says the Clevelanders are not the best orchestra, but goes on to imply they kind of were in his review (link). "The Cleveland Sound" is in it's best days "a 100 plus member chamber orchestra", as George Szell famously claimed and as I saw on a YT, Franz Welser-Moest (present conductor) also claim.

Tried to link a pic of inside w the CO (google Severance Hall).

Todd K and Chris from L are detractors on these boards, but pbarach and spindoctor and kitch29 and forgot one or two others know much about CO!
