One way to look at this question is to match the level of performance of the turntable and cartridge. You don't want to spend too much OR too little on it, being thrifty Hollander, eh (?). That being said, if it's still playing well, the capability of your vintage Sony is quite good and that stock arm looks nice from photos on the web. I am a fan of vintage Sony's. The basic drive motors are superb and no rubber bands are used!
I'd dispose of the OM20. Your 2250 can probably extract performance from a better cart than those you note above- just one Bear's opinion. You could handle a decent MC in that rig of you had a step-up.
A nice cart is a decent investment; my old Denon carts (touting "nude, grain-aligned diamonds" -- whatever!) performed well into the 1000+ hour range. That's a lot of LP sides and outlasted several CD players, making them a fine value.
Time to slap down the Platinum Mastercard my friend.
