I looked up the Kenwood 2055 turntable in the Vinyl Engine database and it apparently has very odd tonearm geometry. According to the specifications published there, its tonearm effective length is 215-mm with overhang of 9.5-mm. This is very odd and apparently has only one alignment null-point. In order for either of your sight-line protractors to work with this tonearm, it needs needs to be lengthened to achieve an overhang of 18.6mm or else it needs to be mounted closer to the spindle. At any rate, that tonearm cannot be aligned using either of your sight-line protractors.
Best regards,
John Elison
