There is a huge amount of disinformation spread in the audio world about vibration isolation. High mass? Low mass? Points? Rubber donuts? WTF? Read the below if you are of a scientific bent.
The fact you are sitting on concrete slab sitting on dirt gives you absolutely the minimal vibration, assuming everything is solidly constructed and you don't live next to a rock-crushing plant. Just select a rigid heavy shelving unit that doesn't vibrate internally in response to airborne noise, and you're probably at the 90%+ level. No boingy metal shelving etc.
My experience in tube gear is that "microphonics" affecting tubes is a very minor problem, perhaps exaggerated by folks who want to sell you magic stones to put on top of your equipment cabinets and little hats for your tubes. In terms of cost/performance there are much better marginal improvements to had for your hi-fi dollars IMHO.
The turntable itself is most subject to pickup of airborne noise and there are ways you could isolate it from the music in the listening room but they are all a giant pain. Otherwise put it on a relatively stiff stand sitting solidly on the concrete and level the table up really proactively. The photo gives you the idea of the kind of "stiff stand" that works for sure- note the 3" square structural steel tube legs- woof!
That platform's actually not too wacky of an idea if you had some more serious vibration issues. It also might just be fun to talk about. It's a commercially-made, scientific vibration isolation platform, like they use to slice DNA or microchips on. Used, this one's on trashBay for $200 and I see them on Craigsfencelist occasionall cheap!
