I think you might have a valid point. I decided to install two belts on my Sota Millennia and I believe the speed might be a little more stable. My RoadRunner tachometer used to fluctuate between 33.332 and 33.336 but now it seems to rarely hit those outer limits. Now, it seems to fluctuate between 33.333 and 33.335 most of the time.
I don't know if you can still find one, but you might want to look for a RoadRunner tachometer if any are still available. Phoenix Engineering components were really amazing, representing a level of engineering rarely associated with the audio industry these days. It's really sad that they are no longer in production.
