As yet another working biological scientist both are wetting agents and are used essentially interchangeably in science MOST of the time. Scientists can be as opinionated as audiophiles at times :-)
BTW Triton X100 is the surfactant in Kodak Photoflow if that makes any difference.
Use the one you can get cheapest and in the smallest volume. A little dab 'll do ya.
I've used Photoflow in my US RCM, works fine as long as I don't overdo it.
