RE: Is this a 4 pole Aussenlaufer?

That motor in the video may be seeing 50Hz instead of 60Hz. A 4 pole motor would spin at 25 revs/sec at 50Hz. A 6 pole motor would spin 16.67 revs/sec at 50 Hz.

I keep watching the video over and over but can't tell how fast it is turning.

After seeing the stator from the TD124 motor stator photo in the link I posted, I wasn't sure one could easily identify the number of poles visually...how many poles would you say the motor has in the watchmaker lathe video?
