When that Beck LP came out I had an GIANT Hi-Fi comprising a pair of Apogee "Duetta" planars and two enormous "Nestorovic" subwoofers driven by custom made amps my friend designed and built to drive loads as low as 1 ohm. Etc etc. The rig could make the picture-windows of my large ranch-style home visibly suck in and out and delivered what we considered live concert levels quite beautifully. That LP was a favorite to play at extreme SPL's.
