Get yourself the plastic lid from a jar of peanut butter. I prefer Jiff, but you may be a Skippy person. Smooth or chunky - makes no difference (I could never hear a difference between the two types). Then drill a hole in the center of the lid (quarter inch as I recall). Turn it upside down and push it down over the spindle on your LP12. Bingo. Very light weight record clamp made from trash. You may need to use the sharpened end of a pencil to ream/stretch the hole in the jar lid just a bit to adjust the fit. Yes, is tongue in cheek, but it really does work. The lid is almost exactly the same size as the record label and arm/cartridge is not interfered with.
