You are right. There are 4 leads. I was thinking at first that two had the same color but that isn't the case at all. They each have a unique color. It may indeed be a wye wound 3 phase motor. At some point I'll ohm the motor out to see if I can determine more. I just got it home last night, fresh off the Ferry ride from Victoria BC. I have not tried powering it up, but it's probably ready to go as is.
I'm sold on the idea of at least trying out the regenerator to see how it sounds. That it can supply clean, programmable power to all three phases, if that is what I have, then that is really cool too.
I would like to purchase what I need and hear you are the man to talk to. Can I PM you? What is the preferred procedure?
Twystd, where would all the power come from? I understand the setup from Pyramid only sends out the control signals, and I would still need power amps to beef up the output, correct? Can you make any recommendation about power amps?
